And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile.
Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
In You Lord, I place my trust.
Grant me your peace, a quiet spirit within,
and a wholeness in my life,
to walk humbly before you, to be content.
Grant me a restful restlessness to seek the well-being of my neighbour.
Let my life declare in both word and deed that ‘The dream is ended; this is the morning’.
