Seeing Clearly

May 29, 2013 0 0

Revelation 22: 3-5

Nothing that is under God’s curse will be found in the city.  The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him.  They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.  There will be no more night, and they will not need lamps or sunlight, because the Lord God will be their light, and they will rule as kings for ever and ever.

Let me see afresh...
  ...the gentleness in the eyes of those who love me;
  ...the fragile and firm commitment expressed when my hand is held;
  ...the steadiness of the gaze of a friend who asks me to think again.

Shine the light of peace...
  ...on the moments when anxieties threaten to dominate;
  ...on the memories which are hard to lay to rest;
  ...on the conversations to which I contribute.

In all I see, think, and do may your light shine brightly within and around me.
In Christ’s name.  Amen.
