1 Corinthians 13:12b (GNT)

12b What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete—as complete as God's knowledge of me.

Following intensive research (OK, I googled it!), it seems we have an average of 100,000 hairs on our head, and we lose about 50-100 per day through brushing or combing or washing! And if you think you can keep your hair by avoiding these activities then apparently you can also lose your hair just sitting still! Jesus tells us that the hairs on our head have been counted, so you get the idea of just how well God knows and loves us. We think we know ourselves well but in reality we know ourselves partially, so much we deny or cannot see. God knows everything about us, inside out. We think we know God and his love but we know only partially. Imagine that day when we fully know God and his love, without the doubts and the questions and the fears. Then, in completion, we will live in wonderful harmony and joy and peace, surrounded by love.

PRAYER:

Lord God, you search me and you know me. The Psalmist of old put it so well. There is nothing you don’t know about us. But there is much we do not know or understand about you and your love, but we come before you as learners each day. Lead us to know more of your love in our lives until that glorious day when we see you face to face and know as we are known. Amen.
