A Difficult Neighbour

Mrs Karen Brown April 18, 2016 0 0

Romans 13

The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there maybe, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” Love does no harm to its neighbour. Therefore, love is the fulfilment of the law.

Lord, he doesn’t speak, he doesn’t cut his grass, he’s noisy, and as for the revving of the motor bike at 6am!

His children are out of control, no manners. As for his wife, she’s untidy and loud mouthed

I could easily challenge them both. Even call the police and have them charged with disturbing my peace.

Lord, I hear you whisper in my heart, “Love does no harm to its neighbours.”

Lord, open the eyes of my heart to my neighbours needs and enable me to see my neighbour through your love.

Lord, forgive my hard heart, forgive my criticism and lack of understanding.

Soften my heart. Fill me with your understanding that I may share your love with my neighbours.

Amen.
