Caring for Elderly Neighbours

Mrs Karen Brown April 19, 2016 0 0

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God in whom I trust.”

Lord, help us to trust in you for all that we do.

Lord, make us willing to take your love to our

elderly, housebound and often lonely neighbours.

As we rest in the security of your love open our hearts to the needs of our elderly neighbours, that they may know they are valued.

Stir our hearts with the knowledge of all they have given down through the years.

Send us in your strength to be the gospel for them, lived out in visiting, shopping, giving lifts, making meals, making sure all is well with them.

As we dwell in the shelter of your love may your love so fill us that we would be enabled to; share our time willingly, our care cheerfully and your love gladly.

Lord, as we reach out in your name may carer, and cared for know that, you are our refuge and our fortress. Our God in whom we trust.

Amen.
