Leprosy Mission - ‘I Am Nisha’ Campaign
Imagine being able to say you played a part in ending child leprosy.
Leprosy still affects thousands of people every year worldwide, yet many remain unaware that the disease still exists. While leprosy is now extremely rare in the UK, The Leprosy Mission in Scotland, led by Steven McLeish, is working from Scotland to help eradicate leprosy globally.
The "I Am Nisha" campaign, focused on ending child leprosy and led by Steven, is more than a fight against a disease — it is a movement of hope. Through early detection, education, and community engagement, the campaign aims to transform lives and challenge the myths and stigma surrounding leprosy.
By partnering with churches and communities across Scotland, The Leprosy Mission is raising awareness, building strong and lasting support, and securing vital resources for people affected by leprosy around the world.
Through this collective effort, The Leprosy Mission and its partners are not only working to end a disease, but also bringing healing, dignity, and hope — ensuring that leprosy is no longer hidden or forgotten.
