Daily Worship Writer - Pete Phillips on idols

We thank Pamela Kennedy for her Daily Worship week and we welcome Pete Phillips who begins our new theme for June Totally Authentic beginning Sunday 1 June.
Pete says, "Currently, I serve as a Methodist minister in the Thames Valley Circuit and a tutor at Spurgeons College in South London where I think about how technology and theology interact on our MA programme in Digital Theology. I also teach New Testament, Greek and pastor the best group of ministerial students (since the last bunch graduated last year)! I try to put down my thoughts coherently on paper from time to time and do all I can to help several doctoral students to get their well-deserved PhDs."
This week Pete writes about creativity, unity and idolatry.
"Dear God, let me breathe in your Spirit, your ruach, your life.
Let me know your breath within me, not an idol, not a statue, not an image.
Let me be your beloved child. Let me know your love in new ways, today."
