We thank Lily Cathcart for her Daily Worship week and we welcome John Povey who continues our new theme for July Enjoy! beginning Sunday 13 July..
John retired in 2021 after 40 years as parish minister in Kirk of Calder, Mid Calder. He is now engaged in occasional pulpit supply, and some writing and research. His hobbies include baking and cooking, travel, the theatre, reading, and time with the grandchildren.
This week John writes about joy, blessing and following Christ.
"Your blessings await me when I awake and gently lull me to sleep at night. Your love surrounds me and encourages me each day, whatever outward circumstances I may face. I thank You for the joy which wells up from within me whenever I pause to draw on Your strength."
