Witnesses of the good news
Acts 28: 23 - 24
They (the local Jewish leaders in Rome) arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus. Some were convinced by what he said, but others would not believe.
God our Father, we know that not all who hear, believe.
But how will they believe who have not heard?
Help us to take the good news out
Into our world
Into our land
Into our communities
To our friends
And those we don’t yet know.
May we witness to you
In word and deed
May our actions speak as loudly as our words
May our lives witness as clearly as our protestations
As we live and love in your name.
