Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Lord,
I visited the Olympic Village today
The whole site is really quite astounding.
Fresh clean pavements
Shiny new buildings
And mature trees sprouting up all over the place.
And yes, water features like rivers in the middle of the the streets
It was a revelation.
It was a recreation
A renewal and much more
To think that all this was wasteland
Polluted ground
A place to discard rubbish
Yet nothing was wasted
Every piece of soil reclaimed
Oh Lord,
This place is a parable
A vision
A physical reminder of what it means to be regenerated
Come,
Regenerating God,
Move into my neighbourhood
My sphere of influence
My wastelands
Reclaim my ground
My life
My backyard
Make me one of your regeneration wonders
