Ephesians 1:18

18 I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people,

Some people live with blinkers on, they live in their own contained world, their eyesight limited. It is possible to view God with blinkers on and not see the wideness in his mercy, not embrace his wonderful love that is so high you can’t get over it, so low you can’t get under it, and so wide you can’t get round it. Blinkers limit God and his love. Sometimes we think we know all about God’s love, and then he surprises us!

Lord, let your light shine upon us to reveal the dark places where we need your cleansing and forgiveness; let your light shine upon us to reveal new insights to our love; let your love light our path that we may walk the way of peace with you. Let the scales fall from our eyes that we may allow your light to continually open our minds to know you more, to love you more, to serve you more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
