Acts 2

This is what the prophet Joel announced would happen:

“In the Last Days,” God says,
“I will pour out my Spirit
    on every kind of people:

“With malice towards none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right… to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and orphan – to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and all nations.”
Abraham Lincoln, President of the USA

Prayer
Lover of all, widen the bounds of our caring and our serving by the influence of your sovereign friendship. May your generous love break down defences, our prejudices, our dislikes, that in our everyday contacts with people of other nations, races and religions, we may show forth gentleness and courtesy, empathy and friendliness.  To the glory of our Creator God.
God has no favourites,
He's got you and me brother in His hands,
He's got you and me sister in His hands,
He’s got everybody here in His hands,
He's got the whole world in His hands.

God has no favourites.
Amen.

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16.34
