John 14: 5-6
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
I sure am grateful Lord that you let me rest from the work . But Father I’m afraid that I’m my own worst enemy. Why is resting so hard? It seems shameful to say it Lord but please show me how to turn off the computer, ignore the emails and take the gift of Sabbath.
Teach me how to re-create, refresh and dig deeper into the well that is your love. I need that Lord because I’m just hardwired into pretending that I can go it alone and do it all in my own strength.
This worker is often not very smart, I’m just so grateful that I can come before you and pause. Let me hide in the shadow of your wing.
You are amazing Lord, you just keep on loving, be my boss forever , please!
