Life Frame Part 2

Albert Bogle February 03, 2014 0

During the month of February we will consider the significance of the second temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. This time he is offered power and authority if he will worship and obey the tempter rather than God. Here the temptation is to place self above God. Here Jesus reminds the tempter that it is only God that has to be worshipped and served. This month as prayers are written on specific topics can we also look at four areas in our life frame where we can often find ourselves in conflict with worship. The prayer writers will also think about the different lenses we can wear as we pray. Let us have prayers that come from the our personal struggles and joys. Prayers that are written as we struggle with the tension and temptations of the western culture of the 21st century. Let us pray prayers that recognise the call and the struggle we have as we seek to be part of the `Church’ trying to live out gospel principles in a secular culture. Fourthly, pray prayers that seek to point us and reshape us into the image of Christ so that we begin to let the mind of Christ shape our life frames.
