We thank Christine Colliar for her Daily Worship week and we welcome Rhona Cathcart, minister of Inverurie West Parish Church who launches our new theme Scene in Context on Sunday 3 August.
Each Bible reading in our theme this month comes with a brief description of a contemporary scene that complements or contrasts with it. We have asked our Daily Worship writers to take these scenes with them as they come to the texts to see what happens. How does the scene shape how they read the scripture and how they write about it? Their creative responses show us what happens in the chemistry of ancient words meeting present day interactions.
