Daily Worship Writer - Deborah Bate on Music
We thank Elliot Mitchell for his Daily Worship week and we welcome Deborah Bate who begins Sunday 19 July continuing our new theme for July and August Express Yourself.
Deborah is a Leeds-born and based singer/songwriter. She currently works for a local charity and previously worked in a primary school as a teaching assistant, but has always nurtured her love of music and songwriting. Deborah has recorded and released a debut album, “Trailblazer”, plus EP, “Rest Project”, and her songs are jazz, gospel and pop-influenced. She has featured in a local festival in Leeds and Refuel festival in Scotland, where she met the Sanctuary First team. She has served in her local church worship teams for many years and loves to make music to worship God and minister into the lives of others. You can connect with Deborah on Instagram (@deborah_bate_songbird) and Facebook (Deborah Bate Music).
This week Deborah writes about singing, dancing, and clapping:
"Help us learn from David, that as he danced with all his might before you, that this might be how our hearts love you, with wild abandon."
You can read all of Deborah's prayers in Daily Worship and check out our Connect Bible study prompts for this week.
