Luke 14.34-35

34 ‘Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure heap; it is thrown out.
‘Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.’

Think

Listening is vital – to God in Scripture, with God’s people in church, on the journey of each day, before the wonder of God’s world, in the silence of the heart.

Pray

Thank you God, for the things we take for granted, whether salt or sacrament, bread or Bible. Thank you for time to read and think and meditate. Thank you for space to breathe and listen and grow. Thank you for the mystery of faith and the marvels of science, for the opportunity of Lent and the engagements of work. Thank you for the service of worship and the service of humankind.

This day we take some time and space to offer our discipleship to you, to ask a blessing on our journeys, to join the people of the way in faith, in hope, in love, through Jesus Christ who rules all people, all ages, all places.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
