Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4; 9-11

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance…..
What does the worker gain from his toil?
I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in it’s time.
He has also set eternity in the hearts of men.’

She was only 40, a young mother when the news came.
It’s cancer and you have months to live!
The shock and pain the anger and despair
She cried out and God heard her cry
She found you in the dark place
Where hope is so often snuffed out and fear reigns
The whisper of love and a breath of peace came
Time was short and life and light suddenly burst forth
Unimaginable colours, scents, moments of exquisite beauty
How had she missed it, walking by every day without notice
Caught up in the plans of building for the future, striving, pushing, and for what?
God has made everything beautiful in it’s time
And he has placed eternity in our hearts.
Priorities change as life slips past
The things that really matter are given not earned
Your presence opens eyes to infinite possibilities and wonders
The journey will go on beyond this present moment
But this is the day the Lord has made and
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
