Philippians 2:16

Then you will shine like stars among them as you hold firmly to the word of life.

Yours is the word that gives us life
though sometimes we don’t quite believe it.
Yours is the word that gives us hope
though sometimes we doubt it.
Our vision is clouded by our pride, 
and we’re sorry.
Our service is diminished by our ambition,
and we’re sorry.
Forgive us our stubbornness, Lord.
Let your light so shine in us 
that others might see beyond us to you.
