Ecc. 12:1

Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the day of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”

Safety of the youth. The youth are not safe in these neighbourhoods. This is seen in different ways. They are the main target group by the criminal gangs for recruitment. The average age of the gang members is around 25 years. They are ready to venture into new experiences as well as desire to engage their youthful energy in something. This is a soft spot in the heart of the youth that makes them vulnerable to external forces. The young girls are not very safe in these communities. There are incidences of teenage or premarital pregnancies among the girls. These could as a result of rape cases or men who take advantage of the innocence of the youth. Such illicit sex expose the youth to sexually transmitted infections and HIV.

May the youth and community  live in a safe neighbourhood devoid of rape, prostitution and criminal gangs that threaten/destroy the innocence of the youth in the community
