Prayers from Berlin

July 29, 2013 0 0

Isaiah 61:1,2

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.

As you pray for Berlin, please include the similar challenges in you own city.

The Urban World. The globe is currently seeing an unprecedented migration to the cities of the world. It is expected that the population located in the cities will increase from 50 to 75% by 2050. Will the cities of the world be a final stronghold for evil? Or will they be a place of hope and redemption? It is a question that challenges all Christians around the world.

The People in Berlin. Like many European cities, Berlin finds itself in a major struggle fighting against a ‘religion of unbelief’. The vast majority of people in our city are attempting to make life work apart from God.

Please pray for the hope of the gospel among the hopeless.
