Matthew 5:5
“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are – no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.”
It was lunchtime and John had just sat down to his meal, he saw me and called me over and as always was full of stories. While he spoke he didn’t eat. Worried that his food was getting cold I encouraged him to eat up and I would speak to him when he finished. ‘Ach lassie,’ he said ‘I’ve eaten most of my meals out of a bin or off the pavement, this will be an improvement whenever I eat it, I’d rather talk to you!’
Lord, today brings – people to encounter.
