2 Corinthians 5:17

‘Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation’

What does it mean to have our eyes open and our ears tune to the creation around us, and the Holy Spirit within us?

They are beautiful but so delicate
Their white drooping heads and green shoots
Pushing through the cold hard earth
Snowdrops adorn our sleeping gardens
The first flower of the new season to come
Strong enough to withstand the harshest winter
And intent in doing what they were created to do
Signaling new birth, new creation in all its purity
Thank you God for this little flower
Not so much fragile as robust and resilient
A sign of hope to keep pushing through
On life’s journey, trusting in God our creator.
