Matthew 5: 6-7
Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.”
Martin Luther King said, "Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a permanent attitude."
Please read and pray Jesus prayer three times today from Luke 11. 2-4 (NKJV).
He certainly gives forgiveness a high place.
2 So Jesus said to them,
“When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”]
Prayer from Central America
Christ of the poor,
forgive us for keeping silence
in the face of injustice
and for burying our dreams;
for not sharing bread and wine,
love and land,
among us, now.
