Light of the World
Hold us in your gaze
Keep us ever in your sight
For many are spinning off into darkness
Save us from the hopelessness of despair
Give us courage to defiantly believe
Your Kingdom has come
Our world is troubled
Our leaders are divided
Nations are warring against each other
Our motives for peace are suspect
Come Prince of peace and make the peace
Flags fly in defiance
Bullets fly in despair
Missiles fly to destroy
No one is listening
The noise of hate drowns out the voice e peace
Fear stalks our hemisphere
The world spins on
Lord Jesus
Light of the world
Prince of peace
May you Kingdom come
And let is begin in me
