And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Lord 
The background hum of life stirs the brain
I awake from sleep
Its Sunday again
Once more the streets are quiet
Silence still makes a noise
Thoughts run through my head
Thoughts that become prayers
Prayers about myself
My feelings
My fears 
My doubts
My future
Thoughts run through my head
Thoughts that become prayers
About Iraq, Syria, Palestine
The list goes on
Their streets are not silent
Their future is uncertain
Their hopes have been shattered

Lord,
I struggle to grasp the immensity of their stress
Forgive me when i worry about 
A wrong word
A wrong colour
A wrong attitude
Give me a right frame of mind
to put my world in a true perspective
And where I need to make changes
Give me the courage to stand in the right place
To see the view from a different angle
Today is Sun day 
Let your light shine
Let your name be honoured
Let your Kingdom come
Let your will be done
Let your peace reign
