Into your hands

November 23, 2014 0 0

Luke 23:46

Jesus called out with a loud voice, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.’ When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Into your hands, Father God…
Into your heart,
Hold me tight.
Let the warmth of your embrace
Massage me into new life…
Let your Spirit
bring mine alive.
Inspire in me
That commitment to you
That trust you
With my all…

Into your hands
I commit my family and friends….

Into your hands
I commit those I work beside –
The easy to like
And the harder…

Into your hands
I commit my neighbours
In my street and town…

Into your hands
I commit the world.
The places where hate breeds
And abuse is rife
Where pain and injury
scar and wound and kill…

Into your hands
I commit everything.

Everything.

I commit….
You care.
