Luke 2:20
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Who have I told about Jesus’ coming?
Lord, the lips that sang your praises in church
have been silent in conversation.
Who might I tell?
Lord, fill my heart with passion for You
so that out of the heart my mouth may speak.
Who needs to hear?
Lord, alert me to the people I meet each day
with their questions and hurts and dreams.
Who wants to hear?
Lord, that is not my job to judge.
Maybe the wanting comes after the hearing.
Thank you for those who told and listened
and passed on the Good News from the shepherds
through the centuries
to me. AMEN
