I forgive you

June 21, 2013 0 0

Job 42: 1 – 6

Then Job replied to the Lord:

“I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”

It’s OK God. I forgive you.

I forgive you for the times on the beach when there was only one set of footprints and I longed to be carried.

I forgive you for the times I prayed and prayed and you didn’t answer.

I forgive you for the times church is boring.

I forgive you for letting bad things happen to a good person like me.

I forgive you for taking my loved ones and not healing the people who I wanted you to heal.

I forgive you I didn’t get that pony/bike/insert object… when I was younger.

I forgive you that you don’t make me feel better about myself than I do.

I forgive you for not taking responsibility for every little part of my life and for not making it easy for me.

Now, is there anything you’d like to say to me?
