Forbidden Fruit

​She took some of the fruit and ate it then she gave some to her husband and he also ate it.   As soon as they had eaten it they were given understanding and realised that they were naked.

​Lord we think of friends that we have known who have not been good for us. We have found ourselves attracted to those who lived by different standards to ones we knew were right.   We think of friends who have seemed confident and assured in conduct yet deep down we knew them to be unwise, dishonest or destructive. We confess how much we wanted to be accepted, to fit in, to share in the excitement. We have been willingly seduced, mislead.  We thank you for disturbing us not only when we have taken the fruit but when we have given it to others.
