Between believing and doubting

Matthew 28:16-17

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

Today, Lord, above all other days, I have opportunity to worship you!  For you have called me to go with you just as you invited your first followers to go with you to the mountain top in Galilee. Lord, I know that most of life is to be lived in the valley but I know too that I need mountain top experiences along the way to sustain me.
I can imagine your first followers gathered with you on that particular mountain top - on one hand so overjoyed that you were with them, and alive, and on the other hand finding themselves struggling to believe that it could be true.

I've been there, Lord - caught between believing and doubting. Come near to me, today, I pray that I might worship you anyway, despite me fears and doubts. May this be a door of opportunity that I can walk through that would lead me to you and into the rest of my life as you intend me to live it.

In Jesus' name. AMEN.
