“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”
Lord,
you know what I need
what we all need
somewhere to belong
somewhere that feels like home.
What a promise that is…
somewhere to belong… forever.
Yet I know that it’s not the place itself that matters:
it’s knowing you will be there for me,
just as you are always here for me,
whether I realise it or not.
