A New Dawn

January 01, 2013 0 1

Isaiah 43: 18-21

Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

The wild animals honour me,
the jackals and the owls,

because I provide water in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland,

to give drink to my people, my chosen,

the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise.

O Lord,

It’s a new day

It’s a new dawn

Can I have a new start

I’d like to start from the inside out

You know not so much style more substance

So could I please have a new attitude?

Help me be the change maker

in my family

in my workplace

in my church

Among my friends

Guard my lips

Teach me how to listen

Not only to others but to myself

It’s not what I say that causes offence

Its how I say it

Lord

One more thing

I’m sorry about my prayer life

It’s not been working for years

I keep forgetting to share with You

My thoughts, my plans, my dreams

My worries, my troubles, my hurts

Lord, its good to talk, its even better to pray

Thank you for a new dawn, a new day and a new year!
