Week 95 - Geisha in Pastels

Hello again everyone

Sorry we didn't get a chance to do this last week as I took a last minute holiday for a few days ! Hope you will join me online this week for some art ?

We meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together. No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

This week we'll paint a geisha girl in acrylic paints

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

If you have time to sketch the outline lightly  in pencil before we start, that will help to save some time, and let us get onto painting.

What you'll need

Pastel paper or extra fine grit sandpaper

Any size however, A3 or larger would be ideal

A selection of soft pastels and pastel pencils

If you do not have Apastels, you can use whatever you have available to you e.g. coloured pencils, pastels, watercolour paint, etc

A Pencil and an eraser to loosly sketch it out

Kitchen paper to wipe hands !

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
