Week 68 - A Cockerel in Acrylic

This week we're drawing a cockerel using acrylic paints

Join us every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together every week. It will be a time of drawing and painting and conversation. Complete beginners are very welcome.

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone ?

You can pre-sketch the outline sketch of the horse using one of the pastels pencils or a standard pencil if you wish ready for us to add colour shaping and shadows

What you'll need

A selection of acrylic paints in a small selection of colours

A large, medium and small flat brush and a fine brush for detail

Strong quality paper of any size - A4 or A3

A jar of water

Kitchen roll for wiping brushes

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
