‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’
They say everyone’s life deserves a Hollywood movie.
Well, Lord, I wonder what they’d all look like – especially mine!
Some of the trailers and clips we can easily find on the web are full of crazy antics, nonsense and madness.
Oh, Lord, there are clips that are scary and cruel; others that are violent and abusive;
and thankfully (mercifully) some that are compassionate and even prayerful.
I pray to you that if someone was to video me, and publish my behaviour, they’d see someone helpful and kind and, dare I say it, godly.
Are you going to play the video of our life back to us one day?
That’s a sobering thought!
Help me to play it forward so that your light in me might shine for all to see amidst the darkness.
