2 Corinthians 5:17

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the wonders of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge….Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 29: 1-2,4

In Narnia the Lion sang and a new world was created.  Was it a dream, Lord?

Did the light really change from grey to white to pink to gold?

If I open my eyes will I see a new day or will it all still be darkness?  Why am I afraid to open my eyes, Lord?

You have said come to me and rest but I am not sure I have to courage to come.  If I come to you I will be made new.  All I have been will be changed and I don't know if I am ready for that.

I open my eyes and I see a butterfly, risen from the tomb of its chrysalis.  Why should I doubt that you can re-create my life?

On this day of all days I come to you and lay my life in your hands.  I ask only that you create in me a new life, a pure heart, that you renew my spirit and restore to me the joy of your salvation.

This is no dream.  This is the morning, the beginning of a new day, a new week, a new year; the beginning of the rest of my life.  The light is golden. Thank you Lord for re-awakening my hope and giving me another chance.
