The ship – this is my mission space

March 12, 2014 0 0

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

This ferry goes back and forward, day in day out.
The work is dull, with occasional moments of fear when the wind is fearsome and the waves high.
There is nothing really exciting about this job,
yet it is my mission space Lord,
where everyday I encounter people, colleagues, driver, bikers, tourists, residents.......
all sorts of people.
Give me eyes to see them as you see them.
Put your love in my heart for them.
And when colleagues fight and squabble, and put each other down,
help me to stay out of it, and rest in the peace you give me.
Lord this is my mission space.
