Hebrews 11:23

​By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born

because they saw he was no ordinary child 

and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. 

​For the Hebrew people the words of blessing were seen as a prophetic act. To bless the children and grandchildren is to invite God to act in their lives for their good and for the shaping of their character within the people of God.  Taking our cue from the blessings mentioned in Hebrews 11: 2-18 we will bless the next generation.

Father, you have no “ordinary children”,

for each one is special.

Today your special children are under threat

in Syria and Gaza, pawns in power games

across Europe and the West , 

victims of political stringency

and media manipulation.

Bless and protect….........................

from the poison of misused power.
