Lasting trust

June 01, 2013 0 0

Revelation 21: 5-6

Then the one who sits on the throne said, “And now I make all things new!”  he also said to me, “Write this, because these words can be trusted.”  And he said, “ It is done! I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.  To anyone who is thirsty I will give the right to drink from the spring of the water of life without paying for it.”

Everlasting God, you are indeed worthy of our trust.
You do not betray us.
You hold us from beginning to end.
You nourish us.
You are life itself.

In the new things, may we remember you are the Ancient of Days.
In the midst of change, may we trust your living Word.
In the times when all seems parched and dry,
may we know the cool springs of water which your Spirit offers.

And when the day is done,
I will entrust myself to you.
For ever and ever
Amen.
