Psalm 103:10-14

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
    he remembers that we are dust.

Lord:
When the journey of daily life seems hard,
draw alongside and strengthen my heart and soul.
When temptation to allow pride to rear its head threatens to overwhelm me
hold me firmly in your loving power.
When the ME tries to take over
show me the need in others
that I may be an encouragement to them.
When inferiority seeks to strike at my being
give me the grace to accept your presence
knowing you are my heavenly Father.
When superiority tries to whisper the lie
that I am better than everyone else,
touch me with your presence.
Lord, help me to see that as I journey each day with you
I meet you in the very people I have looked down on.
Then, I see you waiting with open arms of forgiveness…
You are there before me.
AMEN
