Hebrews 11: 20

​By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.

​For the Hebrew people the words of blessing were seen as a prophetic act. To bless the children and grandchildren is to invite God to act in their lives for their good and for the shaping of their character within the people of God.  Taking our cue from the blessings mentioned in Hebrews 11: 20-18 we will bless the next generation.

Father, our children are so different,

with their own personalities

and quirky ways;

their own ambitions

and inner struggles.

Bless ......................... 

that they may grow up to be

the person you created them to be

gloriously unique.
