Your Legacy: Building a Digital Cathedral for the Next Generation
Help us build a sanctuary without walls. Your gift. Your legacy. A statement of hope in the world for generations to come.
Sanctuary First is a small charity with a big vision: we are building a Digital Cathedral, a sacred space accessible 24/7 from anywhere in the world. In a world often fractured by conflict and loss, Sanctuary First reaches across borders and divides, carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people and places far beyond the reach of traditional church buildings.
A Community of Creativity and Faith
Our mission is fuelled by a dedicated team of media professionals and a growing movement of volunteers - writers, musicians, technologists, and presenters - who offer their unique gifts to shape our ministry. Together with our partner churches, we are redefining what it means to be a “church without walls.”
We invite you to consider leaving a lasting legacy to support the work of Sanctuary First. By including Sanctuary First in your Will, you ensure that this Digital Abbey continues to grow, evolve, and serve as a spiritual home for your children, grandchildren, and the global community.
How Your Gift Makes a Difference
Your contribution, no matter the size, provides the foundations for our digital home:
A Vision for the Future: The Young Creatives Fund We dream of establishing a Sanctuary First Grant-Making Fund. This initiative would support young, gifted media communicators, allowing them to bring fresh energy and innovation to our ministry. Your legacy could ensure that Sanctuary First remains relevant and vibrant for every coming generation.

- £25,000 supports a part-time staff member dedicated to our ministry.
- £30,000 covers the essential annual licenses, web maintenance, and app design required to keep our ministry online and accessible.
- £30,000 could launch a national campaign, introducing Sanctuary First to thousands who have yet to find us.
Planning for Tomorrow
With one in five people in the UK now choosing to leave a gift to charity in their Will, we invite you to join our growing circle of legacy pledgers. Some supporters are also choosing to release assets now, ahead of the 2027 changes to inheritance tax, to see their impact during their lifetime.
We understand that family and friends always come first. However, if you find you are able to leave a gift to Sanctuary First, you will be ensuring that people of all ages, worldwide, have a place to explore the Bible and discover the life-changing significance of Jesus.

FAQ’s
Why should I make a Will?
A will ensures that your possessions and property are distributed according to your particular wishes after your death. Without a will, there is no guarantee that your estate will be dealt with as you intended.
I don’t have a Will yet but interested in leaving Sanctuary First a gift
The best way to make a will is to see a solicitor. Wills can vary in price however we have good news here at Sanctuary First - we soon hope to offer a free will-writing service via an established solicitors firm.
Will Inheritance Tax Apply to my situation?
Inheritance tax is a tax payable on the remainder of an estate that is over and above the inheritance threshold. Many home-owners will be liable to pay IHT on their estate especially if they also have a pension fund which as of April 2027 will be included in estate calculations, so check with your solicitor for the latest threshold before tax is payable.
Why should I consider leaving a gift to charity ?
Gifts to a charity such as Sanctuary First are exempt from inheritance tax, which means leaving a charitable gift can reduce the amount of tax your estate incurs. A charitable gift can be an affordable way for many people to support their favourite charity, something that might not have been possible during their lifetime.
Can I change my mind?
You are free to change your will at any time and we recognise this could mean removing us from your will.
