Psalm 19: 1-4 (NIV-UK)

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

Eyes drawn upward
Time standing still
Pictures and sound
Air upon your face
Listen… the sky is speaking

Shoulders dropping
Breathing slowing
Colours dancing in your mind
Sounds whisper gently … Stirring
Listen … the sky is speaking

What have the clouds heard?
Come follow me
Where will the vastness take you?
Smell the season
Taste the dew
Listen… the sky is speaking

Present in the moment
Opening
Tuning in
God’s adventure unfolding

Tomorrow another new day
Look up to the sky… God is speaking

Prayer:

Lord God help us to determine your voice
Help us to know when the sacred is speaking
Lord help us to lift our eyes beyond our own horizon and fix our gaze upon you.
Amen
