Matthew 9:35-38, The Message
​Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught them in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”
​1. Read the scripture passage slowly, noticing the words or phrases that connect with you.
2. Read the scripture passage slowly again, asking why those words are significant for you.
3. Read the scripture passage slowly, yet again, asking what God is inviting you to do.
4. With those key words and thoughts, take time to pray.
5. Throughout the day, pray with your eyes open as Jesus did.
