Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

Lord of my life,

my example and guide,

I thank you for my mentor.

I thank you for his encouragement

in the tough times,

for his empathy

in the hard times,

for his presence

in the lonely times,

for his understanding

in the difficult times,

for his patience

in the fraught times.

I thank you for his rejoicing

in the good times,

for his celebration

in the successful times,

for his laughter

in the ridiculous times,

for his quiet presence

in the peaceful times,

for his belief in me

in all times!

Lord, I thank you,

for without him

I would not be myself!
